Addressing the women, the first lady thanked God for his protection from the first day of January to the last day in December 2024.
“This is just the beginning, by next year it will be bigger and better than this. I just had to do this because I know there are many who did not have anything to celebrate Christmas”
Earlier, the chapter woman leader of PDP, Hon Comfort Timothy thanked the first lady for thinking of the widows during the festive season.
“If it is difficult for us who are younger to meet up with the reality of today’s economy, I wonder how the aged and the widows cope”.
The Vice Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area Hon Imaobong Michael also joined her voice in appreciating the gesture of the first lady and led a prayer session for Mrs Emily Uko Umoh and her family.
High point was the distribution of gift items and cash to the widows who all appreciated the first lady and the Council for remembering them at Christmas.
