The Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Hon Uko Umoh, has promised to immortalize Late Obong (Hon) Imoh Paul Udofot with a project in his community.
Late Obong Hon Imoh Paul Udofot was the leader of the 4th Etinan Legislative Council between 2008 and 2011.
Leading the political class of Etinan Local Government Area on a condolence visit to the family, Hon Uko Umoh, described late Udofot as a man of integrity who supported his aspiration to give Etinan purposeful leadership.
“He was a very close person to me whose death I feel so much. He encouraged me to work for the development of Etinan without fear or favour” he declared.
Also speaking, the political leader of Etinan Local Government Area, Obong Kenneth Okon described death as a necessary end of all mortals and regretted the sudden death of Late Obong Hon Imoh Paul Udofot.
“We are here to console the family, death is a necessary end. Late Obong Hon Imoh Paul Udofot did not die at old age but God knows best”
In his remarks, the chairman of Etinan Elders Council, Dr. Okon Emah said it was quite unfortunate that he is no longer with us. He lived a happy life and I implore you to take solace in God.
On his part, Rt. Hon Inemesit Itinan PhD who served as the Deputy Leader while Late Obong Hon Imoh Paul Udofot was the Leader called on all to examine their lives while alive saying the deceased lived a good life with the fear and total submission to the will of God.
The delegation was received by the wife of the late politician
Mrs Uduak Imo Udofot who appreciated the gift from the delegation.
She prayer that such premature death will not happen again in Etinan Local Government Area.
A minute silence in honour of Late Obong Hon Imoh Paul Udofot was led by Pastor Samuel Ikon.
In the delegation were political leaders from different wards, councilors and supervisors, council Secretary, Chief of Staff to the Chairman while the Vice Chairman, Hon Imaobong Michael, was also at hand to receive the delegation.
