As the humming sound of the grading machine echoes in rural communities Etinan Local Government Area, more communities are being connected for economic benefits.
In line with his vision of creating access to economic opportunities in our rural communities, the Uko Umoh’s led administration is leaving no stone unturned in the realization of this laudable vision.
Undoubtedly, his vision of transforming our rural communities is also in line with the ARISE Agenda of His Excellency, Governor of Akwa Ibom state,Pastor Umo Eno.
So far, a total of five kilometers of rural roads have been graded in Northern Iman Ward one while Ikot Isong and Ikot Udobia in Northern Iman Ward 2 have been reconnected through dedicated efforts of the local administration.
The basic knowledge of the benefits of access roads is the motivation behind the massive grading of rural roads roads by the Etinan local government administration.
This is also in fulfilment of the purpose why local government areas were created vis a vis to bring government closer to the people.
It is therefore gratifying that where the financial mussel of the local government cannot finance asphalt constructed roads, routine grading as done by the Etinan local government administration comes handy.
The determination of the Uko Umoh’s led administration to open up rural communities for economic opportunities is highly commendable and one can only imagine how connected Etinan communities will be in the next four years of his action packed tenure.
