It was a moment of joy to members of National Youth Service Corps serving in Etinan Local Government Area as they met with the Chairman of Council, Hon Uko Umoh.
The Corps Members serving under Batch A’ Stream 2 met with the Chairman to inform him of their Passing Out Parade (POP) taking place March 27, 2025.
Led by the Local Inspector, Mr. Stephen Ogwunte, the Corps Members commended the chairman for taking steps to bring development closer to the people.
“Since we came to Etinan Local Government Area last year, we have observed your dedication to the task of governance and we are pleased to say that you have justified the reason for the creation of local government in Nigeria.
“We want to thank you our Chairman for the prompt and regular payment of our allowances. Etinan has been a home to all of us”
Responding the Chairman, Hon Uko Umoh, thanked the Corps Members for being discipline throughout the service year by not bringing Etinan local government to the spot for the wrong reason.
The Chairman advised them to build relationship and sustain same as it is capable of offering one opportunities in life beyond your academic qualifications.
Hon Uko Umoh announced a parting gift of N1,000,000.00 (one million naira only) to members of Batch A’ Stream 2
The donation led to wild jubilation which took the CLO, Olusegun Felix Godwin, minutes to bring the house to order.
