In the spirit of Easter celebration, the Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Hon Uko Umoh,has met with the PDP family in his country home, Ikot Akpabio.
The Chairman used the occasion to thank party officers for making it possible for him to sit as the chairman of Etinan local government area. “The party made it possible for me to be the chairman and I owe you timely report”.
Hon Umoh used the opportunity to present his scorecard before members of the party which covers agriculture, infrastructural development, education, provision of basic amenities as well as the construction of an ultra modern motor park in the local government.
“We have completed four electrification projects in four communities, four water projects in four communities. We have pulled out eight more transformers and very soon we will complete work on them for their respective communities.”
The council boss called for loyalty and support to the government of Pastor Umo Eno and Etinan Council under his leadership.
“Before you start spreading rumours call to confirm. Don’t bring down anyone, let there be mutual respect. Strengthen the party structure by consulting widely before taking any decision in the party.
“Let us operate as a family, I will not tolerate gossips and blackmails. It will not work this time. I am fully here to work for you all”
The chairman also implore the party structure to be part of the monthly sanitation exercise to keep the local government clean and green. “All of us will work together to bring back the glory of Etinan Local Government Area”.
Also speaking, the Uyo Senatorial District Vice Chairman, Rt.Hon Inemesit Itinan PhD thanked the chairman for hosting the party at a time like now to give the people a sense of belonging.
Dr Itina reiterated his determination and that of the party to offer useful contributions that will improve the lives of Etinan people.
The Chairman of PDP in Etinan Local Government Area, Hon Pius Emmanuel John thanked the chairman for calling the ward executives together to celebrate the Easter season.
He re-ecohed the call for loyalty and support from all party officers to the government of the day.
“Mr Chairman, the assignment you gave to me I have delivered. These are all the ward executives from the 12 wards. The party will remain loyal and supportive of your administration and that of His Excellency, our dear governmor.Thank you for bringing us together. I pray for more blessing and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the Local Government Area”.
Also speaking on behalf of all the ward chairmen, Rev Anietie Ekpo, thanked the chairman for calling them together saying, it will continue to boost their support for the party.
Rev Ekpo who is the ward chairman of Southern Iman Ward 5 also informed the chairman that some wards don’t have party offices and pleased that same gesture extended to the chapter chairman should also be extended to the ward chairmen.
The chapter youth leader, Mr Etiese Macaulay Ekong and the Chapter Woman leader, Hon Comfort Timothy assured the chairman of the total loyalty and support from the youths and women towards strengthening the party.
