The Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence (Dr) Oliver Ali Aba has given the chairman of Etinan a pat on the back for the execution of people oriented policies and programmes in the local government.
The Prelate who is on Apostolic Tour of Eket Diocese commended the chairman for executing life touching programmes and policies aimed at improving the lives of the masses at the grassroots .
The Prelate who was represented by Rt. Rev Innocent Saro Ndinwin, Bishop Diocese of Eket urged the chairman not to relent in his efforts in developing the rural communities .
“We have heard so much from you. Your achievements speaks boldly of your determination to change the story in Etinan Local Government Area.
“We pray that God who called you to lead the people at this time will give you the wisdom and the understanding to pilot the affairs of the local government successfully so that your people will still be interested in you for a higher office”
Responding, the chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Hon Uko Umoh, said it was an honour to receive the Prelate and his entourage in his office.
The council boss thanked Methodist Church Nigeria for the visit saying, just as his forebears in Etinan opened their doors to accomodate christian missionaries in the 18th and 19th centuries, he can never turn his back on the church anytime an opportunity presents itself.
He used the occasion to assure the people of Etinan local government area that, as long as there is no impossibility with God, peace and development will be achieved during his administration.
