Uko Umoh signs 2025 Etinan Appropriation Bye-Law Of N7.3b

History was made by the 8th Legislative Council of Etinan Local Government Area as the 2025 appropriation estimate recently presented by the Chairman of Council, Hon Uko Umoh, has been passed and signed into law.

The signing ceremony took place in the Chairman’s office with the Vice Chairman, Hon Imaobong Michael, Leader of Legislative Council, Hon Ekerete Umoh, Head of Service, Mrs Mercy Ntekim, Clark of the Legislative Council, Mr Julius Etukudo and Director BPRS Mr. Inyeneobong Ekot, Secretary to the Council, Hon Idorenyin Okon and the Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Pastor Ubong Inyang were all present.

 

Speaking shortly before the signing ceremony, the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon Ekerete Umoh said the 2025 appropriation Act passed through all legislative process.

He thanked the Executive Chairman for including members of the Legislative Council in the budget process which according to him will make them the best and most performing councilor in the history of their respective wards.

Signing the Appropriation Act into law, the Executive Chairman, Hon Uko Umoh thanked the 8th Legislative Council for coming together to work as a team for the development of Etinan Local Government Area.

“This co-operation shows to the world that we are ready to hit the ground running from the first month to the last month of 2025.
“I am proud of the 8th assembly, your contributions towards the passage of the budget shows that I have people I can rely on to get things done. Thank you for sharing with us the vision that Etinan must take it’s place as number one local government area in the state”.

The 2025 Etinan Appropriation Law has a total size of N 7,343,322,000.00 (Seven Billion, Three Hundred and Forty Three Million, Three Hundred and Twenty Two Thousand Naira only).

A breakdown shows that capital expenditure takes N 4,005,500,000.00 (Four Billion, Five million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira Only) while recurrent expenditure is put at N 3, 331,832,000.00 ( Three Billion, Three Hundred and Thirty One Million, Eight Hundred and Thirty Two Thousand Naira Only).
